An illustrious biochemist :::: Un ilustre bioquímico

Isaac Asímov was born in  1920 on the former USSR where he just lived until he was 3 years old time when his family emigrated to US. Asímov studied biochemistry in the University of Columbia and after that he continued his cientific carrer with the marines, however he had another love: writing. Basically he wrote short stories based on science fiction, genre strangely combinated with his knowledge of science. The oxford english dictionary contributes to him the addition to language of next words:

• Positronic.- a  technology completely fictional.
• Psichohistory.- a fictional science that conjoins history, mathematic statistics and sociology to "predict" the effects of activities developed by peoples and races.
• Robotics.- science and technology of robots.

Among his most popular documents are The Bicentennial Man and Other Stories, I, Robot, Foundation Series and The Intelligent Man's Guide to Science.

Isaac Asímov nació en 1920 en la desaparecida URSS donde solo vivió hasta los 3 años de edad, tiempo en que su familia emigró hacía EU. Asímov estudio bioquímica en la Universidad de Columbia y después continuo su carrera científica en la marina estadounidense, sin embargo él tenía otro amor: escribir. Básicamente escribió historias cortas sobre ciencia ficción, genero que extrañamente combinaba con sus propios conocimiento científicos. El diccionario de la lengua inglesa de Oxford le atribuye la aportación de las siguientes palabras al idioma:

• Positronico.- tecnología derivada de la ficción.
• Psicohistoria.- ciencia ficticia que conjunta historia, matemáticas estadísticas y sociología para predecir los efectos de actividades desarrolladas por los diferentes pueblos y razas.
• Robotica.- ciencia y tecnología de robots.
